We are by far the BEST club in
Leicestershire
and continue to attract funds from
companies / organisations
looking to invest in our future!
We have recieved some donations from companies and organisations.
JR Corah Foundation Fund have bought us 10 front crawl snorkels and resistance caps to help us with our training.
Thanks to Lisa Bennett, LPSC has been awarded a laptop computer as part of the "Computers for the Community" initiative of Deloittes. Employees who are involved with either a charity or community group are invited to apply with applications judged and ranked on: the level of personal involvement with the charity/community organisation, the amount of time given (personally) on a regular basis and the difference a laptop would make.
Next Plc donated £100 which contributed towards the cost of the new club T-shirts.
East Midlands Airport Community Fund gave us the two “Drag and Fly” training aids that we use at our Charwood pools. These are a great training aid which allow us to swim against resistance to increase endurance and improve stroke.
Community Champions Fund funded the 2 First Aid courses which trained 20 people in basic first aid. It also funded the Stroke Clinics for our volunteers to increase their experience and knowledge.
The Local Network Fund funded the equipment we use in our land training sessions at Burleigh College each Sunday, from 4:00 – 5:30. It also paid for the gym hire for the first few sessions to get us started!
The Co-operative Community Fund gave us the money for our new top of the range Public Announcement system that we use at our galas. Now we can actually hear what Chris is saying!
